My day-to-day tasks at work involve such a very small part of what my company does as a whole (as is the case with a lot of engineers), that I lose sight of what management is doing and why. After your class, things are much more clear in the business realm of my company. Now when we have our big executives come in and give the quarterly results and future business plans, I understand them more.
