CS 425 — DISTRIBUTED SYSTEMS

Course Description: This course covers topics needed for a basic understanding of distributed computer systems. Protocols, specification techniques, global states and their determination, reliable broadcast, transactions and commitment, security, and real-time systems are also covered.

Prerequisites: Familiarity with basic concepts of systems and networking or CS 423.

Credit: 3 hours (CS certificate students must enroll concurrently in CS 591 ONL). Counts toward a certificate in Computer Science.
