Course Description: This course examines the organization and structure of modern operating systems, concurrent programming concepts, deadlock, virtual memory, processor scheduling, disk systems, performance, protection, and security.

Prerequisites: A system programming course (such as CS 241). C++ will not be taught in this class.

Credit: 3 or 4 hours (CS certificate students must take this course for 4 hours). Counts toward a certificate in Computer Science.
